Ashley Sylvester

Hello! I am excited to be the advisor for the Association of Pre-Health Professionals at UNLV! I am currently the Director of the new Pre-Professional Advising Center on campus. This center is a comprehensive resource for pre-professional students with medical, dental, pharmacy, PA, PT, OT, Veterinary, and Optometry school aspirations. Prior to joining UNLV in January of 2018, I was the Director of Student Affairs and Educational Outreach at UNR Medical School, which included working with current UNR Med students, Post-Bac and BS-MD students, and prospective medical students in the Las Vegas area. Before my time with UNR Med, I was the Associate Director of Recruitment at Nevada State College. I have spent more than 10 years in higher education, working within the Las Vegas community and the state through different partnerships, programming, and events to help students achieve their educational goals. In my current position, I am lucky to spend my days working with our motivated, energetic, passionate pre-professional students here at UNLV! When I’m not at work, I am home with my husband and two children who are 8 and 1 years old. I enjoy spending time with my family, being an active member of my mom’s group, and love watching sports!
